Our Services

Forest Harvesting

FTF have been harvesting in the Wairarapa/Wellington region for over 14 years. Our Harvest Managment skills will ensure your harvest is completed the most efficient and effective way possible.

Our commitment to integrity, honesty, and ethical practices guarantees that we stay within budget while delivering exceptional results.

Log Marketing

FTF logs are sold to both the domestic and export markets. Our in-depth knowledge of sawmilling, timber processing, and pulp and paper enables us to deliver the right log for the right job all the while maximising the return to the forest owner.

FTF sells only to reputable customers both in New Zealand and overseas, and guarantees payment.

Forest Management

Farman Turkington Forestry (FTF) has a long history of providing expert independent services to forest owners, managing both the land and the forest to ensure the best outcomes. With over 7,500 hectares of production forestry under management, we offer a one-stop shop for all your planning and management needs, from establishment to harvest, to maximize your forest’s returns.

Different terrains and locations require tailored approaches, and FTF can advise you on the best programme and species selection to suit your land use and goals, ensuring your forest thrives for generations to come.

Emissions Trading Scheme

The ETS is regularly being reviewed and FTF understands this can be frustrating for forest owners. FTF knows that the ETS can seem confusing and often ‘too good to be true’.

There are a lot of potential fish hooks in it so FTF takes time to explain all the ‘ins and outs’ of the scheme.

FTF takes pride in keeping up to date with the latest statutory changes and carbon prices both nationally and internationally.
